GLO-WORM STUDIO
GLO-WORM STUDIO
Iain Hutchison studio engineer
Glo-Worm is an incredibly equipped tracking and mixing space owned and run by freelance engineer and producer Iain Hutchison.
The control room features a Raindirk Series III large format analogue mixing console (recapped and restored by Cyril Jones @ Raindirk Audio), a choice selection of outboard (2xTube-Tech CL1B, Purple MC77, 8x API 225L compressors, Rupert Neve Portico 5043, AMS Neve 1073DPA) and 32 Channels of I/O on Lynx aurora converters.
The DAW is a mac running Logic Studio and Pro-Tools with loads of plug-ins including full Flux Engineering spring pack, Waves Platinum, PSP Audioware, Audio Ease Altiverb, and more.
The room is acoustically treated using RealTraps and is a very accurate and pleasing environment to work in.
The newly built live room features an extended ‘cathedral ceiling’ with open rafters, a solid oak floor, and an upright grand Ritmuller piano. There is also an acoustically treated vocal booth.
